When is Payment Due?
A $50 deposit is required at booking, the remaining balance is due by the conclusion of the party
Can I bring food/cake?
Yes! Party hosts are allowed to bring whatever food and drink they would like to serve at the party, our only restriction is no alcohol in the museum. Please keep all food and drink in the party rooms to keep the museum clean and allergy-safe for all our guests.
Can I decorate the party room?
Party hosts are welcome to decorate the party room however they would like for the party, provided that decorations do not cause damage to DSMCM property.
Can I arrive early to set up?
We recommend arriving approximately 15 minutes before your party start time to set up. Parties are scheduled a minimum of 30 minutes apart. You will be able to access the party room to drop off supplies up to 30 minutes before your start time, but a prior party may be packing up and our staff cleaning and sanitizing during the first half of that 30 minutes. For private parties, the museum will be ready for you to arrive up to 30 minutes before your start time.
Can I bring my own plates/cups/etc?
We provide disposable plates and cups with a generic design, and plain white plastic cutlery. Party hosts who prefer to have these items match their party theme are welcome to bring their own.
How big is the party room?
Our party rooms are approximately 20’x40′. They can comfortably accommodate up to about 30 people with everyone seated around tables, or about 40 with children seated at tables and adults standing or seated around the edges of the room.
Can I hire a princess/superhero/magician/etc?
Party hosts are permitted to bring in outside entertainers such as face painters, magicians, or costumed characters. For parties held during regular hours, any such activities that are not available to all museum guests must stay in the reserved party room only. Mall policies prohibit anyone walking through public areas of the mall wearing a mask, masked costumed characters will need to arrive out of costume or use the loading dock entrance. What if I have extra party guests?
Parties during regular hours include up to 15 child admissions, we do not charge admission for adults, only children ages 1-10 count toward this total. Additional guests are allowed at a rate of $6 per child. Payment is due by the conclusion of your party. There is not a specific guest limit for private parties since you are renting the whole facility, but please let us know if you are expecting more than 40 guests. We recommend a private party if you are expecting more than 30 guests.
