Covid-19 FAQ’s

Are you open?

Yes! Our open hours can be found on the main page of our website. Any changes to hours will be posted on our website and facebook page.

Can I make an advance reservation?

We are taking reservations for visitors to arrive in the first hour that we are open. We are rarely busy enough that we have to ask families to wait after lunch time, so we do not offer reservations other than the first hour. A reservation is not required to enter, only if you are concerned that we may be at capacity when you arrive. So far during the warmer months we have only reached capacity on rainy days.

Are Masks Required?

Effective June 1st, 2021, we will be offering options for families who are higher risk or more cautious, and for families who are lower risk and ready for a lower level of precaution.

Masks will be required for all visitors ages 3 and up on Friday, Saturday, and Monday at the museum, no exceptions.

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, per CDC guidelines masks are recommended for individuals who have not received the Covid-19 vaccination.

All museum staff will wear masks on days with a firm mask requirement. Staff members who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will have the option to remove their masks on days without the requirement.

Are you offering birthday parties?

We are offering birthday parties as private events only to avoid crowding in the museum by having regular guests and party groups at the same time. Private parties are available on Sundays, and can be booked by visiting the Birthday Parties tab. Per CDC recommendations, masks are recommended for individuals who have not received the Covid-19 vaccination.
