Volunteering

Volunteers from the community help us keep the museum clean, safe, and affordable for local families to enjoy. Creating a strong group of volunteers will also help us grow by clearly showing that there is a lot of interest and excitement from Des Moines families for a local children’s museum.

Volunteers assist with the day-to-day operation of the museum, tasks will include things like welcoming visitors, sanitizing toys, and keeping exhibits tidy.

This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity. You are welcome to bring your children to play at the museum during your shift, as well as any other open hours on the day of your shift.
